I’m not a fan of this hashtag …. mostly because people use it entirely out of context HOWEVER the following anecdote contains a bonafide #AwkwardMoment
At lunch at work today, a few of us are sat down. One guy is telling us how much he hates his life, his girlfriend etc etc ….. we try the obvious advice “leave the relationship” but he tells us she self harms so he would feel terrible.
Another guy at the table offers some sound advice, he has in the past had counselling and also worked as a counsellor. Doctor Depressed then asks if he means he should call the Samsons. He then realises the error of his way and corrects himself. Should he call the Saracens. It is pointed out that Lawrence Dallaglio probably wouldn’t help him.
I feel genuinely bad for this guy, he is a really nice person, but still this is a bit heavy for lunch time. So naturally I tweet about this turn events (follow me …. shabbybird) but at no point do I say who is invloved ….. it is shroud in secrecy
One of the guys (a good friend of mine) who works directly with Father Fuck My Life tweets back “I know who this is …. I put up with this daily!”
We naturally LOL.
A litttle while later Captain Can’t Be Arsed approaches me …. “I can’t belive you put this on twitter”
There is #ThatAwkwardMoment …. I don’t put things on twitter to offend but if you don’t follow me you are fair game for a mention surely?!
Moral of the story …. follow me on twitter, wouldn’t want #thatawkwardmoment when I am moaning about you on twitter to go unnoticed!
