Just got off the phone to Bostick technical department. A nice chap rang and asked for details of my problem. I explained and he asked me to hold. The phone call was then taken over by a very stuffy chap who clearly got out of bed the wrong side this morning. He informed me he runs a very busy technical department and he thinks my question is at best mischievous! I asked if he would be prepared to refund me as I feel I have been sold a product that doesnt live up to my expectations. He told me if I thought I had a serious complaint I should contact trading standards …. Which I will. I then informed the stuffy man that he has awful customer service skills and that his head office would be informed of this!
Good start to the day …. now off to see who else I can bother
Am I the only douche who works on a Saturday?!
No phone call from stickidots. No email from tropicana. Pretty disappointing day really. All hope is not lost though. I will re email tropicana and eagerly await the call from stickidots. In the meantime I have a lot more ideas to pursue and even came up with a brainwave for phase two of this shenanigan, requires a little ground work but should be ready to unveil this idea late next week.
I’ll be taking Sundays off from this website but will update Monday with hopefully some good news and definitely details of my next “victim”!
Have a great weekend everyone …
So I emailed bostik telling them I’m not happy with their response and again they rather speedily replied asking for a phone number they can reach me on to discus my issue! Loving this and have indeed given them my number and shall look forward to a call from them and will naturally update on here.
My second project is also underway. I have contacted Tropicana who have bought out a new juice with “extra juicy bits”. I have informed them that I am intrigued but before I buy I need to know if this means there are more juicy bits than before or that the bits are juicier than before. I did ask for a free sample straight away so let’s see what I get!
Update tomorrow.
Having been on the corporate end of many customers with thoughts and opinions that often left me scratching my temple I have decided to become one of them.
My quest over the coming months is to see what freebies I can scrounge, what gift vouchers I can be awarded and more amusingly what companies I can generally badger and harrass untill they tell me to bugger off.
This came to me when I purchased a pack of Bostick stickidots. Small adhesive pads to stick stuff together. On the pack they make the following bold statement …. “101 uses”
Now obviously they are intended to stick stuff together, that is use number one.
Past that i was struggling to come up with other uses. So I emailed them. Explained I had worked out they can be used to stick stuff together but could not think of a further 100 uses so please could they let me know them to back this claim up. I got a rather speedy response from them thanking me for my question and explaining that their product is used to stick objects together and that there are 101 items that could be bonded.
Hmmm, I am not satisfied with this as actually its still ony one use. So I shall email them now explaining that I am not satisfied with their response and feel thoroughly mislead by their product.
Shall update tomorrow
